Long Term Residents
When adopting from a shelter, we know the decision is hard - there's so many to choose from, and everyone deserves a home! But we ask, when searching for a new addition to the family, to consider a long term resident. Often these pets are overlooked due to their looks, age, or how they portray themselves in the kennel space.

About Aurora
Aurora arrived to the shelter after being abandoned for an unknown amount of time in an apartment. She is such a sweet girl who loves attention – she’ll roll right over and let you pet her belly! She is very afraid of leaving her kennel, which makes it challenging to show her in our bonding rooms. But she is the sweetest girl who is always excited to see people with a little “meow”. Aurora has been observed not being fond of her kitty neighbors in the past, but since moving to a larger kennel she seems to have mellowed out; she's even tried booping noses! Aurora is a 2-year-old sweetheart that would love to find her loving forever home soon!

About Olivia
Olivia is a smart, fun-loving girl that will need a strong leader. She is around a year old and weighs 60 pounds. She knows sit, shake, and sometimes down. She is an active, playful - sometimes stubborn - girl. She is treat motivated and wants to please. She loves to go to the play yard and run, she's obsessed with the tunnel and will roll around in it forever! She loves playing with the rope toys and loves to toss them in the air herself and then catch them! She does jump when excited and will need someone that can work with her and learning other manners. Due to her energy and past experiences at our events, Olivia does not seem fond of young children and an age restriction applies; please discuss this with shelter staff. Olivia does have a high chase drive so a home without cats would be best. We have had Olivia meet with some dogs and with the right match she has a BLAST playing! A fenced in yard is highly recommended for Olivia. Olivia would love to find her loving forever home soon!
