November Only Veterans Discount
CVAS would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation honoring all active and retired service-members for Veterans Day, November 11. And what could be more heartfelt than providing a veteran a new companion at a 50% discount off our usual adoption fees? Kittens under 7 months old are $45.00 and when you adopt one kitten, you can also adopt a second at no cost! Dogs 6 years old and under are $106.00, and any dog over 6 years old is $76.85.

Easter Hound Hunt

What it is
- Bring your dogs to hunt down easter eggs, take pictures with the Easter Bunny, and compete in the Bonnet Contest to win prizes!
- Over 6,000 eggs to find!
- Meet at the registration tables following the road back to the back of the shelter
- Large and small dogs will have different search locations
- Bring your pup on a leash to search for treat filled eggs!

Kitten Shower

What it is
We host this small event to gather donations of kitten supplies for the large number of orphaned newborns, nursing moms, and pregnant moms that enter our shelter every year. This event is vital in helping us be prepared to take on and care for these cats, and assist our dedicated fosters with supplies.
We have this event right here at the shelter! Our employee breakroom is decorated like a baby shower and we lay out a variety of snacks and refreshments for all our donors and sponsors to enjoy!
Cabin Fever Music Fest
What it is
- Our Cabin Fever Music Fest features local musicians and their bands donating their time and talent to help our homeless animals. Come hear the amazing voices from right here in our community and raise money for the animals in our care that hope to find their loving forever homes!
- 1 Night - 5 Bands - 1 Venue!
- Doors open at 4 pm – Music starts at 5 pm
- Tickets: $10 in advance / $12 at the door
- Tables can be reserved for groups of eight;
- A limited food menu and full cash bar is available

Dog Walk & Contests

What it is
Our annual Dog Walk and Contests has been in existence for more than 20 years! We ask participants to get sponsors for their walk to raise money for the animals at CVAS. Top donors will have a chance at some amazing prizes! Our contests include Best Kisser, Best Trick, Best Costume and Most Obedient and prizes are awarded to the winners in those categories.

This exciting event is dedicated to our community!
We have a spread of snacks and beverages in our employee breakroom for everyone who stops by.
