August, 2020 to November, 2024: Lexi Arrives and Four Years Later Goes Home!
November 8 was a BIG day at CVAS!
Lexi, who has been at the shelter for over four YEARS, found her forever home! We will certainly miss our big, sweet girl but wish her and her new family the best!

Back in 2022, this video tells the story of the artistic effort behind creating our wonderful wall art at CVAS. We are always appreciative of the many artists who created such an eye-catching image!
Local Deck The Town Contest to Benefit CVAS!
- Spread some holiday cheer with Deck The Town - Chambersburg's FIRST Holiday Light Display Contest. Register your home or business for its festive exterior light display, and the public will vote for the winners.
- ENTRY IS FREE! Properties in the greater Chambersburg area are invited to enter; must enter by Monday, December 9. A Google map with all the properties will be released on December 11.Voting will be December 11 - 22. Votes are $1 each and proceeds will be given to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
- The winners (residential & commercial categories) will be announced on December 23 on the Chambersburg Chamber Facebook page and in the following week's Chambersburg Chronicle and published on LocalNews1.org and Franklin County Free Press.Hosted by the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce.
