Your Gift Can Create A Better World

Consider Your Legacy Gift to CVAS. However it's done, it's a sign of your personal commitment to help provide a better life for homeless animals.

For Individual Donations
We so appreciate every donation that comes through our door - from the small bag of kibble and kitten food, to the unexpected personal check presented in memory of a lost pet or loved one. Your individual donations can be dropped off at our lobby during regular business hours (shown at bottom of the page), or for monetary donations, mail them to us at Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
For Wills and Estate Bequests
This may be a great opportunity to work with your advisor or financial professional, in planning for your lasting gift to CVAS as part of your personal estate plan. A bequest naming Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is one of the easiest gifts you can make, and it also often comes with estate tax savings. To discuss your bequest or legacy gift to benefit the shelter, contact the Director of Development at (717) 263-5791 or at development@cvas-pets.org.
For Your Business Support
We can't do the Good Work we do, without the heartfelt support of our regional business community. Consider an event sponsorship, an ongoing commitment to support one of our marquee public events each year, or ask us about how an 'in-kind donation' of goods or services can help keep our facility humming along. We'd love to talk with your organization's owner or representative today about this type of critical support!
For Your Work Team
Several of our business partners adopt us during the year, as part of their objective to have their team-members be more involved as community enhancement work. Whether volunteering at an event as a team, or providing employee time to work inside our facility with people and pets, either can be an enriching experience which will foster their ties to the local community your firm operates in. Be a Guardian Angel to a Four-Legged One!
Many people tell us they would LOVE to adopt, but just can't -- either it's not the right time in their lives or they can't have pets where they live. If you are in the same boat, but would still like to help the babies in our kennels, consider becoming a Guardian Angel for one (or more!) of the pets at CVAS.
For a donation of your choosing, you can have a card, like the ones below, put on the kennel or cage of the animal you pick, letting visitors know that you are their Guardian Angel. Your name will be printed in the blank space. Half of your donation will go to care for the animal you choose and the other half will be added to our Second Chance Fund to help other animals who come into the shelter.
